通用雪茄公司旗下的高希霸（非古）今年再次推出在多米尼加共和國卷制的威勒（Weller）限量版雪茄，這是連續(xù)第三年和威勒波旁威士忌合作開發(fā)限量版雪茄,。今年的特點是雪茄的茄套煙葉（康涅狄格闊葉）在威勒波旁威士忌酒桶里發(fā)酵了一段時間,。
高希霸威勒系列在2021年推出時，定位為一款可以和威勒威士忌酒搭配的雪茄,。2022年時，這個系列使用了一款在酒桶里發(fā)酵的茄套煙葉,。今年繼續(xù)維持這個概念,，茄套煙葉還是放在威士忌酒桶里陳化。今年的雪茄煙葉混合有一些調(diào)整,，茄衣是尼加拉瓜的賈拉帕地區(qū)種植的煙葉（去年的茄衣是厄瓜多爾煙葉）,，茄芯是尼加拉瓜、巴西的混合煙葉（去年是多米尼加,、洪都拉斯,、尼加拉瓜的混合煙葉）。
今年限量版的尺寸只有一款，52環(huán)徑（去年是50環(huán)徑）,，6英寸,，售價和去年一樣，都是每支24.99美元,。雪茄是每盒10支包裝,，和去年一樣。
根據(jù)通用雪茄公司的介紹,，他們從美國肯塔基州的布法羅蹤跡釀酒廠將威勒波旁威士忌酒桶運到了多米尼加共和國的通用雪茄廠,，雪茄在這里卷制。也是在這里,，茄套煙葉放在酒桶里陳化,，通用公司說發(fā)酵后的煙葉增強(qiáng)了雪茄口味的復(fù)雜性和濃郁度。
The Dominican Cohiba with barrel-aged tobacco is back. Weller By Cohiba, a smoke made by General Cigar Co. and developed in partnership with Weller Bourbon, has returned for the third time and it features a Connecticut broadleaf binder that spent some time in Weller Bourbon barrels.
Weller By Cohiba was introduced in 2021 as a cigar meant to be paired with Weller Bourbon. Last year, the concept changed when it included a barrel-aged binder. The binder this year is barrel-aged as well, only the blend has changed. In addition to the broadleaf binder, Weller By Cohiba consists of a Nicaraguan wrapper from Jalapa and filler from Nicaragua and Brazil. It comes in only one size, a Toro that measures 6 inches long by 52 ring gauge with a suggested retail price of $24.99 per cigar.
According to General, the Bourbon casks made the journey all the way from the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky (where Weller is produced), to the General Cigar Dominicana factory in the Dominican Republic, where the cigars are rolled. There, the broadleaf binder was aged for an effect that General says adds dimension and complexity.
Weller By Cohiba comes in 10-count boxes and is a limited-edition release. It’s available now, but the 2023 allotment is finite.
