這批雪茄是在多米尼加共和國(guó)的威廉·文圖拉雪茄廠（Tabacalera William Ventura Cigar Factory）卷制的，這家雪茄廠還為考德威爾雪茄（Caldwell Cigars）,、弗洛伊德雪茄（Freud Cigar Co.）從事委托加工業(yè)務(wù),。雪茄預(yù)計(jì)3月底發(fā)貨給零售商。
The United States Navy SEALs have a well-earned reputation for supreme tactical prowess and relenting toughness as one of America’s elite special operations forces. This group has been the subject of blockbuster movies and serves as the poster child for America’s military might. So a cigar line honoring the SEALs and their families only seems fitting, and that’s what New Hampshire-based United Cigars has just created. The company announced the debut of the one-size, Gold Star Limited-Edition cigar in honor of the SEALs, set to release at the PCA trade show in Las Vegas next month.
The Gold Star is 6 inches long by 54 ring gauge, a toro packaged in 20-count boxes. Production is limited to just 4,000 cigars, or 200 boxes. Twenty-five of those boxes will display the signatures of active and retired Navy SEALs, and will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Navy SEAL Museum to support their Trident House Charities program and Swim With A Mission fundraising events.
“We are honored to be included in the launch of the Gold Star brand,” says Navy SEAL Museum board member Jeff Hiatt. “We have known that United Cigar is a patriotically minded organization, this really proves that they are putting their money where their mouth is.”
The cigars are made at Tabacalera William Ventura Cigar Factory in the Dominican Republic, known for producing brands for companies like Caldwell Cigars and Freud Cigar Co. The Gold Star features Dominican tobacco and Connecticut broadleaf filler, held together by Sumatra leaf from Ecuador and a Habano 2000 wrapper.
The cigars will have a suggested retail price of $400 a box, or $20 a stick. Gold Star is scheduled to ship to retailers at the end of March, following the PCA trade show.
